Lois Bly, PT, MA, C/NDT is an NDTA Coordinator Instructor for the NDT/Bobath Pediatric Certification Course and NDT/Bobath Advanced Baby Course. She is a clinician who has offered seminars, workshops and NDT certification courses throughout the United States, and many other countries. Ms. Bly was certified in
Neuro-Developmental Treatment by the Bobaths in London, and received her NDT Instructors Certification from Mary Quinton and Dr. Elsbeth Koeng of Switzerland. She received her Master’s Degree in Motor Learning at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Ms. Bly is the author of Components of Typical and Atypical Motor Development, and the book & checklist: Motor Skills Acquisition in the First Year, and Baby Treatment Based on NDT Principles, and co-author with Allison Whiteside of the book Facilitation Techniques Based on NDT Principles. Most recently, 2011, her book Components of Typical and Atypical Motor Development was translated into Spanish. In 2000, she received the NDTA Award of Excellence. In 2009, she received the APTA Pediatric Section Jeanne Fischer Mentorship Award.
Christa Scholtz, OT, received her Bachelor and master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Free State, South Africa. She received her initial training in Neuro-developmental Treatment with Sheena Irvin Carruthers in South Africa. Attended numerous NDT/Bobath Courses. Became a senior Bobath/NDT OT tutor/instructor in 2006.
Currently still active in the private practice. Doing locum work for centers in Australia and Chile who has special interest in adults with ABI and TBI, children and infants with and sensory-motor-perceptual developmental delays and disabilities. Since 2002, she has taught numerous seminars, workshops, Bobath/NDT courses throughout Africa, South Africa, Australia, Chile, Poland, Israel, Portugal and France. Presented papers on CP/ EBTA/SANDTA conferences in Spain and South Africa with SI. Has a special interest in visual impairment and is trained as a visual tutor and qualified as an Ophthalmologist assistant. Presented on a conference in Santiago, Chile, on the importance of early intervention for the Ophthalmologist association Currently enrolled for PhD: Developing and validating a clinical measurement tool for voluntary eye movement in infants, 6 months of age. Still an active member of OTASA, SI, and are an associate member of EBTA and a member of the OT Australian Board. Also, an AHA and TIMP tester and user. Christa is co-author of a pilot study on intervention of children with CP using Combined Therapy Approaches, published in 2018.
